LaCosta Lounge and Deck Bar in Sea Isle City, NJ, often referred to as just LaCosta, has seen many changes over the years but it has always been a Jersey Shore Tradition. LaCosta can always be counted on for a great time in Sea Isle City. It provides live entertainment outside on the Deck during the day and bands in the Lounge at night daily. Plus there are always great drink and food specials! LaCosta is well known for its Sunday Funday with the Insiders on the Deck and Jerry Blavat playing oldies in the Lounge.
The Liquor Store and Lounge is open year round. The outside Deck Bar opens as soon as the weather starts to get nice in the Spring and stays open through October. Many private parties and school reunions are held outside at LaCosta during the summer. In the "Off Season" our biggest event is the Polar Bear Plunge during President's Weekend in February.
LaCosta Lounge and Deck Bar has seen many changes since it first opened in 1888. When the establishment originally opened it was a ballroom, motel, and bar. It was then known as Cronecker's and run by the Cronecker family until the 1960's. The Giampietro brothers, Tony and Nick, bought the establishment in the 1960’s after retiring from the Marine Corps. After working for the Giampietro brothers, Jimmy Bennett bought LaCosta in 1993 and became the owner. In the Spring of 2002, the motel's pool was filled in and the Deck Bar that you know today opened that Summer. Even with the changes in owner over the years, it has always been a family run business that has kept the spirit of having a good time at the Jersey Shore alive.
If you think about it there is probably a time where you were having a party and bought a keg from the Liquor Store, had a late night slice from Casino Pizza, got a room at the Coast Motel, had a drink at the Deck Bar, or danced the night away in the Lounge. The complex at 4000 Landis Avenue in some way has probably contributed to a night you will never forget or made your summer vacation in Sea Isle City a memorable one.
